Is Heidi listening to everything I say?
Heidi only transcribes audio during your consultation, and only when your specialist has it active. It does not record anything outside of the consultation room or session.
Who can see my notes?
Only your specialist and their clinical team can access your notes. Heidi does not share your information with third parties. Your notes are treated with the same confidentiality as all other health records.
Is my data stored overseas?
Heidi is an Australian-developed platform designed specifically for the Australasian healthcare environment and complies with relevant privacy regulations. Data is processed securely in Australia and deleted from Heidi's systems within 48 hours of your consultation. For full details, visit heidihealth.com.
Could the AI make a mistake in my notes?
Yes — like any AI tool, Heidi can make errors. That is why your specialist always reviews and approves clinical notes before they are saved or sent. The AI assists; your doctor decides.
What if I don't want Heidi used during my consultation?
Simply tell us — before or during your appointment. There is no need to explain yourself. We will document your consultation manually instead. You can also indicate this on your registration form.
Will Heidi be used if I bring a support person?
Yes, unless you prefer otherwise. If you bring a support person or whānau member, their voice may also be captured during the consultation. Please let us know if you have any concerns about this.
Can I access the notes made during my consultation?
Yes. You are entitled to access your health records. You will receive a copy of your consultation letter and operation report. For access to other records, please contact us.
