Do I need a referral to see a gynaecologist?
No, you do not need a referral to see a gynaecologist. However, seeing you GP for a referral can help ensure an appointment at Auckland Gynaecology Specialists is right for you.

What conditions and services do you provide?
We provide comprehensive gynaecology and urogynaecology care, including heavy menstrual bleeding, incontinence, PCOS, pelvic pain, prolapse, endometriosis, post-menopausal bleeding, fibroids, ovarian cysts, IUD placement and removal, PCOS, and colposcopy. We also offer advanced laparoscopic, robotic, and vaginal surgery.
What does an appointment cost?
For current fee information, please email contact@aucklandgynae.co.nz or call 021 773 730. If you have health insurance, an appointment will usually be covered by your insurer, though you may need to pay first and be reimbursed.
When do you have appointments available?
Each specialist consults at least 1 day per week - usually on a Monday or Tuesday. We also offer telehealth appointments for those who prefer to connect from home or outside Auckland and can arrange appointments on other days when needed.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring any recent test results or letters from your GP or other specialists if you are unable to email them through in advance.
Do you use AI (Heidi) during appointments?
